| Superb Rule-of-Thirds Photography Posted: 09 Dec 2010 05:33 AM PST You might not know it, but if you're into photography, you might have noticed how better it looks than not following this rule in some cases. It's the Rule of Thirds, a simple rule to be followed so that your subject is placed within a certain area of an imaginary grid, which splits your picture in 9 equal areas.<!--break-->
This is what the imaginary grid looks like, and how you may use it to place your subject somewhere besides the center of the image: So I've searched for examples of pictures using this rule, and I've found some superb examples of usage. These are amazing, and you should really visit each one of these photographers (by clicking the pictures) for more great pictures, and even buying some of these images. I'll probably buy one or two to hang in my wall. I hope you enjoy these. Cheers! ;) ConstantineDkukkurovacaMelissa.Photography.Allard SchagerArjun PurkayasthaAndy FarrerRob OvercashArjun PurkayasthaJasonJim and Becca WicksAndreas WeckerMark WhitakerStephen ChaseDoug ChinneryPeter AllenSteven HammerliJeff EngelhardtGary NovakPaola SunnyZhenya Semikhodski |
| Beautiful Photos by Ryan Matthew Smith Posted: 09 Dec 2010 01:37 AM PST I was browsing around when I bumped into the work of Ryan Matthew Smith, which got my attention right away. His photos are pretty elegant and beautiful. The compositions, color combination and perspectives are simple and pretty unique...the images get our attention and we keep observing the details and shapes of each piece for a while - at least that happened with me. ;)Check out a small selection from Ryan's work here and visit his website for more inspiring photos.
