I've been writing here at Abduzeedo for almost 3 years now and I have absolutely no idea how come I've never posted about Calvin and Hobbes. Bill Watterson's creation gotta be the reason why I love illustration.<!--break--> Or I just might be exaggerating, but that gotta be really close to reality. I've been reading Calvin and Hobbes comics since childhood, and it just never gets old. This must be the masterpiece of comic strips (in my humble opinion). And also, there's tons of fan art around the web, really good ones, and even sculptures. Really worth checking out. I've selected a few of the original artwork and a bunch of fan art. Suters Architects was founded in 1958 in Newcastle, Australia. After many years and unions with other firms, are Australian references to a quality architecture that respects the history and culture.<!--break-->
Founded in Newcastle in Australia in 1958, the office Suters Architects was responsible for a lot of major civic projects in the 60s and 70s, which gave them a great reputation in the Hunter Valley in New South Wales. To get the team of 150 employees and offices in five Australian cities, including Sydney and Melbourne, the firm teamed up with other good Australian offices, as Snell Architects in 1989, Anderson Street Architecture in 2000 and winning the office, Prior + Cheney in 2007.
With these associations the firm has strengthened its team by adding more heads and good knowledge in different areas. In addition to work in the residential and commercial Suters Architects has a vast repertoire of projects in civic, educational and health. Its architecture transforms related to each program, but always the same concept of integration into environment, composition of shapes and the best materials for every single building. During this past week we've see hope and happiness getting stronger than ever before in Rio de Janeiro. What the world might have seen as war, we've seen as the promise of a better life for the citizens of Rio taken seriously.<!--break--> Believe us when we say that never before we've seen hope shine in people's face like right now. They feel free without the fear they used to have, thanks to the awesome job of the police, along with the Brazilian Army. The sun is shinning again over Rio as a sign of happiness... the exact happiness that made it famous to the World. Peace, we welcome you once more. And to pay a tribute to our beloved Rio de Janeiro, I've chosen some pictures and videos to you guys. This is the Rio we love. Drug free, peaceful.
